twenty fourteen.

I always get a little giddy with excitement on New Years Eve.  there's something about knowing you get a fresh start that seems to give hope to everyone around me.  I always try to make resolutions but am part of the majority who rarely stick to them.  I made it a goal for my resolutions (can you do that?  a goal...for a goal?) to not be about weight loss this year.  instead, I want to focus on different aspects of my life since I constantly obsess over my appearance.  (see also: I am OCD about getting my hair colored)  there are a few of my resolutions I can't share publically for various reasons but here's a few things that are on my plate to improve on this year!

  • attend a small group at the new church we are interested in joining
  • cook more | eat out less
  • save more money
  • blog more :)
  • live in the moment
those are just a few things I have been thinking about recently and hope to apply them to my everyday life!

for New Year's Eve, we went to dinner with another couple then headed back to their house to play games until it was time for the ball to drop.  I am ashamed proud to say we were back home and in bed by 12:30.  I think that qualifies us for the "old married couple status" and I am completely okay with that!

yesterday, we went to see the movie "Wolf of Wall Street" and I will have my review of the movie here tomorrow- there's LOTS to talk about with that movie!  have any of you seen the movie yet?
